VPN

Open the VPN dialog configure and enable camera's VPN settings.

In the current implementation the Camera supports only VPN connections to the mdex GmbH company.

Description of the Dialog

General VPN Setup

Parameter	Description
Enable / Disable	Enables or disable the VPN client.
Server Address	This is the address where the VPN client should connect to.
Server port	The port where the VPN Server is listen for incomming connections.
Comunication protocol	Depending on the VPN Server settings, you can choose UDP or TCP.
Set max fragment size in Bytes	UDP Only! Set the internal fragmentation to n Byte. This could help to prevent the fragmentation of UDP packets.
Set mssfix to n byte	UDP Only! Helps the TCP connection over the UDP tunnel to reduce the TCP packet size.
Set TUN device MTU in byte	Set the MTU of the used TUN device. This depends on the used connection type.
Enable or Disable mtu-test	This test could help to find out good mtu parameters. Use this not in normal operation mode.
VPN username	This is the VPN username delivered by mdex
VPN password	This is the VPN password delivered by mdex

VPN Logging

Parameter	Description
Drop down button for logging level	No output except fatal errors. Small amount of status information More status information. E.g. certification and encrytion status Even more status information. Full status information. Full status and RW for TCP/UDP read/write and rw for TUN/TAP read/write.

Konfiguration sichern

Klicken Sie auf Setzen, um die Einstellungen zu aktivieren und bis zum nächsten Neustart der Kamera zu sichern.

Klicken Sie auf Voreinstellung, um diesen Dialog auf die werkseitigen Voreinstellungen zurückzusetzen (dieser Button wird nicht in allen Dialogen angezeigt).

Klicken Sie auf Zurückholen, um alle Änderungen seit dem letzten permanenten Speichern der Konfiguration zu verwerfen.

Beenden Sie den Dialog durch Klick auf Schließen. Hierbei wird geprüft, ob Änderungen der Gesamtkonfiguration vorliegen. Ist dies der Fall, werden Sie gefragt, ob die Gesamtkonfiguration dauerhaft gesichert werden soll.
